Thank you Team Chehaw. We took 15 riders to Sandy Ridge bmx on saturday. The weather was perfect for racing. The sun shined through-out the morning, and race-time was overcast keeping our riders cool. Ricky and Kim Lawrence provided their camper, and Robert Redman cooked the hamburgers and hotdogs.
Our first place finishers included Cole Acord with a perfect in 9x and Cameron Metts with a hard fought battle over Alex Palmer in 14x. Team Chehaw finished a respectable fifth in team competition with only four points seperating the top five teams. Thanks again to everyone who participated and helped make it a great day of racing. Everyone remember to keep selling those raffle tickets for the Citori shotgun to be given away June 28 during the state qualifier at Chehaw bmx.

The state of Georgia will make its third attempt to hold a state qualifier this saturday May 10th. Team Chehaw will be there to defend its 2007 state title. If you need directions to the track you can go to GeorgiaBMX.org for all the information on this weeks race. Any other information call Ricky at (229) 894-4745. Team Chehaw riders need to attend because the team photo is planned for this event. We will have the tents along with Ricky's camper set-up. Lunch for all the riders and a place to work on your bikes will be provided. Don't miss an afternoon of fun and team racing.
Chehaw BMX has planned a double race with Columbus Bmx on May 17 and May 24. We will go to Columbus for a morning race and then come to Albany for the second race. We will finish the afternoon with hamburgers and hotdogs for all the riders. This will help with the rain-outs we had early in the year.
